NON-VOTING CATEGORY

Lifetime achievement award: Physician above 70 years who has made indelible marks and contributions to the practice of medicine and dentistry and improvement of Healthcare

Special recognition award: Physician whose work has led to advancement and elevation of practice in a particular field/area or who has demonstrated uncommon courage in their practice or whose work had led to a significant increase in access to quality and affordable care.

VOTING CATEGORY

1. Physician of the Year (Public sector): Physician working in the public sector who has achieved high standards in the practice of medicine and is looked upon as a role model by their peers

2. Physician of the Year (Private sector): Physician working in the private sector who has achieved high standards in the practice of medicine and is looked upon as a role model by their peers

3. Physician of the Year (Diaspora): A Nigerian doctor who graduated from a Nigerian University and has been working abroad for at least ten years and who has distinguished his or herself in his/her chosen field.

4. Young Physician of the Year: One (1) doctor of less than 10 years post medical qualification who exhibits high standards in the practice of medicine and dentistry and is being looked upon as a role model by his/her peers.
